MAP's Website gets a fab review!

Marine Academy Plymouth’s website has a fab review by Ed Exec. We really enjoyed this article, and I’m personally heartened to see more schools taking their website and Social Media seriously.

The world is genuinely interested in education, especially about what’s happening in our schools. Schools need to show off the valuable work that they do in changing lives and increasing opportunities for their students.

If a website is engaging, informative, easy to navigate and attractive to look at, then it’s doing a good job. Don’t forget that a website and successful engagement in Social Media will help to attract valuable new friends to the school – there’s a whole host of stakeholders out there, they just don’t know it yet!

Back to the Marine Academy website, the website was fundamental in the Academy and EMPRA winning the prestigious Reputation Online award from New Media Age magazine. We beat corporate giants Habitat, that’s got to be a first for a state-funded secondary! You can read the article here.
